Meoncross School provides a wonderful and fulfilling education for 2 and half year old to 16 years of age pupils.
It’s catering department, run by Deborah Davis, is a beacon of excellence in terms of food safety and allergen management.
Many pupils here are food hypersensitive and these are extremely well catered for.
Once again, the team, pictured below, have exceeded both regulatory and best practice standards at their recent Allergen Accreditation audit in March 2024.
“It has been a great pleasure to evidence great standards”, comments Julian Edwards, ceo of Allergen Accreditation, who attended the last audit. He continues, “the team are all dedicated to the highest standards, and it was a pleasure to see the journey for both special diet customers and the rest of the pupils and staff enjoying a safe experience!”
The catering department offers a full range of foods and beverages, has clear signposting for allergen information and has a place mat system for identified hypersensitive customers.
Part of the food service is pre-packed, and this comes with full PPDS/ Natasha’s Law compliant labelling.
The school operates to a Total Quality Management System and documentation is comprehensive for all food safety, HACCP and allergen management.
