Educatering Magazine reports that Helenswood Academy in Hastings has become the first school to become Allergen Accredited.

The award comes as the academy prepares for changes to EU regulations regarding food allergen labelling, which come into force in December.

Allergen Accreditation provides a framework for operators to develop their systems and procedures for managing the new legislation.
